Building A Chicken Coop Part 1

This is a "how to" build of a diy chicken coop for my in-laws. i'll be incorporating a water system, security features, an exterior egg access door and a few other things in this coop between this. I’ve been looking for a durable material to build a chicken coop with my son. i love all of the pictures that you’ve included to show your own coop build! since i’m a visual learner, this will help me understand how to assemble our own plywood chicken coop.. **this is part 2 of a 4 part series. click here to read part 1** remember, rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither was our chicken coop…it took 2 days. that’s right! it only took us 2 days to get our coop into a functional state. it may not be pretty on the outside (yet) but the chickens are all moved in..

You may not believe it if i told you but a chicken coop is by far the most requested build i get from my audience through email or the comments section of youtube and instagram.. Part 1 part 2 part 3 part 4 my wife and i have always wanted chickens for eggs. so this early this spring we decided to build a chicken coop and run in our back yard. we have hawks and dogs living nearby so free-ranging really wouldn't work. so we decided to build a strong coop and fully enclosed run to protect the flock.. Part two of the chicken coop! this has been a really fun project and i am super happy to be wrapping it up. this week i’m walking you through how i built the trusses, how all of the panel material comes together and how the roofing material goes on..
